         The Little Wonder   LW1S2

The LW1S2 is the evolution of the original highly raved LW1.  The LW1S2 is a high quality passive switching unit.  The internal components have been carefully hand-selected, with the shortest signal path, so as to maintain the highest integrity and transparency of the signal. 

All signal path wiring, which is Kimber Kable, is point to point without any circuit boards or IC chips.  Only the finest motorized volume control is used so as to ensure years of trouble free service as well as sonic superiority.  Except for the source signal, there are no other external currents or amplification, thereby avoiding circuits that can degrade the signal.  The specially designed circuits of the LW1S2 avoid the problems of other passive units especially at low level.  With the inclusion of the motorized volume control, the LW1S2 will easily be upgraded to remote-controllable by adding our external remote sensor.

The LW1S2 can be used to expand the number of inputs without degrading sound quality as other switch boxes do.  The sole function of the built-in volume attenuator is to adjust the volume of different source devices, thus allowing them to drive the power amplifier directly.

CONNECTIONS

 Line Inputs:     CD, Tuner, Video, Aux, Tape.

 Line Outputs:   Tape, 2 Preamp outs.

 RC Input:         Remote sensor input.

OPERATION

All line inputs are identical and can be arranged to suit the user.

The tape-out can be used to drive other devices such as headphone amplifier that has its own volume control.  For performance benefit, the record-out switch should be set to OFF when not recording or driving other devices from tape-out.  DO NOT select the tape input when the record-out switch is ON.  This may cause feedback which can damage your equipments. 

Connecting from the pre-amplifier out of the LW1S2 to one of the line inputs of a preamplifier or integrated amplifier will increase the number of inputs for the amplifier by four. 

Two pre-amp outputs are provided for bi-amplification or a subwoofer provided the subwoofer will accept both channel line level inputs.
